Northeast Ministries
At Northeast it is our desire to help every individual grow into a fully committed relationship with Jesus Christ. With that aim in mind, we have created ministries for everyone that will help them grow in the areas of worship, fellowship, service, and discipleship. We want to know what it looks like to follow Jesus with everything that we are. Whether it’s serving at a local food kitchen or serving our community through the Great Day of Service; going deeper in our knowledge of God’s Word through Sunday School, growing in our relationships with other believers through LifeGroups, developing biblically strong kids through TruthSeekers, or using our talents to praise the Lord in worship, we believe we have ministries in place that will help you grow in your walk with the Lord. We invite you to come join us and begin your journey with the Lord today.
Men’s Ministry
We believe that God has given men the unique responsibility of leadership. It is our desire to shape the heart of all men according to the Word of God. They have a weekly Bible Study on Mondays at 6:30pm in the Family Life Center.

Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry is dedicated to serving the church body, as well as pouring into each other with love and truth to strengthen one another. There are ongoing Bible Studies for women throughout the year, you can check availability by contacting Betty Tautfest or calling the office.

Young Adult Ministry
Northeast’s Young Adult Ministry is led by Cody Thiry with his wife Ali. They are dedicated to cultivating a group that promotes spiritual growth, biblical community, and loving support for those starting their adult life as a Christian. The target age for this group is 18-28, but they don’t turn anyone away. (Kids are welcome to all events unless otherwise noted, so don’t let lack of a babysitter keep you away!)
This group meets for Sunday school at 9:00am every Sunday in the Family Life Center in room 204. They also meet for a time of worship and fellowship Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm in the same room. The young adults have many impromptu get-togethers of various sizes, so be sure to get plugged into the fun! Text Cody at (256)213-6221 with questions, or to receive notices about future events.

Student Ministry
Our Ignite Youth Group meets every Wednesday in the Family Life Center from 6:00-8:00pm. Our youth minister Doug Stephens, along with his team of volunteer “shepherds”, are committed to creating an environment that students feel safe in, while leading them in grace and truth. The goal is to reach the lost, and to foster disciple making disciples in those that already know Christ.
Our youth also have their own Sunday school class, meeting in the Family Life Center all together in room 207.

Northeast Kids
Every Wednesday from about 6:15-7:45pm our Children’s Ministry has two programs: Explorers and Truthseekers. Both programs take place downstairs in the main church building for 3 year olds through 5th graders. You can enter through the downstairs door on the back side of the building to be right at the check-in center for the children’s area. New children have to be registered by a parent or guardian before they can join, but registration is quick! Safety is a priority with our children, so they will not be able to be picked up by anyone except those who are on their authorized pick-up list, and we are very strict with this rule!
Children’s Sunday school also takes place downstairs, and ranges from birth to 2nd grade. 3rd-5th grade attend Sunday school in the Family Life Center, in room 103. Nursery and children’s church is also available during our morning worship service downstairs for those birth through 3rd grade. Feel free to ask an usher for help finding where to take your kiddos!
