Northeast Baptist Church, Ponca City
Return to the Campus Plan

Phase 1

• We desire to be together as the family of God. We long to see each other face to face
and to encourage one another.

• We also want to be aware of the safety risks that are involved for our vulnerable
members if we choose to meet at the building for worship.

• With all of those factors in mind, we will follow this plan for the month of May:

-> We will continue to meet together through online services only.

-> The Sunday Worship Celebration (10 A.M.) and Wednesday Adult Bible Study
(6 P.M.) will be provided online at www.nebcponca.com, NEBC Ponca Live
(Youtube), Northeast Baptist Church Page (Facebook Live).

-> Ignite Student Ministry will meet on Mondays at 10 A.M. and Wednesdays at 7
P.M. on Zoom. (Look for a text from Doug Stephens or the link on Facebook and
Instagram).

-> There will be no other activities at the building through the month of May.
If at the end of May the state of Oklahoma is transitioning our vulnerable population from
“safer at home” policies to a more relaxed policy of being out in public, we will then transition
to Phase 2 beginning June 7th.

Phase 2

• Once Phase 2 is initiated we will begin a plan for being together as the body of Christ at
the church campus.

• Phase 2 will begin on Sunday, June 7th.

• If you are showing any signs of sickness at this time, we encourage you to remain at
home and to worship with us online.

• We encourage everyone that comes to the building to focus on maintaining safe social
distances and to:

-> Wash hands often

-> NO hand shaking, hugs, fist bumps, etc.

-> Please cough into the crook of your elbow

• Bathrooms will be labeled on the door with the number of people allowed in each.

-> Blue tape will be placed on the floor outside of each bathroom to space people
out in the event of a line being formed.

• For the month of June, WE WILL HAVE FAMILY WORSHIP ONLY. (10:15 A.M.)

-> Pews will be marked off so that people are seated at every other pew to allow
for safe social distancing.

-> People seated on the same pew need to continue to properly distance (unless
they are family).

-> We will have a nursing room available.

-> THERE WILL BE OVERFLOW WORSHIP SEATING AVAILABLE IN THE FAMILY LIFE
CENTER. (The service will be broadcast to the screen and one of the ministers
will be at the service to meet any needs). We will have a nursing room available
in Room 101.

-> The worship service will continue to be livestreamed through all of our normal
media sources for those that feel more comfortable remaining at home, for
those that are sick, or those that are simply unable to attend.

-> There will be no Sunday School on campus. Classes may continue to meet online
through Zoom meetings.

-> There will be no nursery and no children’s church available.

-> We will not be passing the offering plate during the worship service. Offering
boxes will be mounted at various places throughout the building to provide the
opportunity for the church to continue giving. Online giving through the church
app and mailing in tithes to the church will also be available.

-> When the worship service is over people will be dismissed to leave by section
and by row with the assistance of the ushers.

-> There will be no bulletins available.

• ENTRY INTO THE BUILDING FOR WORSHIP WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT THE EAST
DOORS OF THE MAIN SANCTUARY.

-> Ushers will be available at the entry doors to welcome you to the service (no
hand shaking).

-> Entry doors and interior doors will be propped open at the beginning of the
service so that you don’t have to touch door handles. (Ushers will monitor the
doors during inclement weather and then close them once the service begins. At
the conclusion of the service the ushers will open the interior and exterior doors.

-> Sanitizer stations will be available at the entry doors. Everyone is encouraged to
make use of them.

-> Masks will be available for those that want one. If you have your own mask and
want to use it, you are encouraged to do so to save expense on mask purchases.

• Wednesday night Adult Bible Study and Ignite Student Ministry will continue to be
livestreamed through our normal media sources and Zoom.

• There will be no other activities at the building during the month of June.
If at the end of June, the state of Oklahoma has transitioned to a greater flexibility of “normal”
operating procedures for the public, we will then transition to Phase 3 beginning July 5th.

Phase 3

• Once Phase 3 is initiated we will begin a plan for modified Sunday School gatherings,
nursery, children’s church, Wednesday Night activities, and worship celebrations.

WE are the Church

Coronavirus Response

Like so many other organizations around the state and country, Northeast Baptist is closely monitoring news and information about the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Northeast Baptist,

It is our desire to protect and to provide for the family at Northeast during this time of crisis in our country. With that aim in mind, we will be suspending all services through May. We will live stream the sermons every Sunday until further notice. The live stream will begin at 10:00 a.m. with worship at 10:15 a.m. and the sermon to follow. You can find the live stream on the
Northeast Baptist Church Facebook page, “NEBC Ponca live” on YouTube, and on www.nebcponca.com

During this difficult time, we also want to make sure that we are caring for needs. If you have a need for assistance with groceries or medicines, etc. please email the Pastor at sdmelton@liberty.edu and we will do what we can to get you the help you need. If you have an emergency please call the Pastor at (580)380-1522.

We are going to do all we can to stay connected to one another during this time. We are also going to trust in the Lord (Isaiah 26:3-4)
because we know He is in control of all things.

In Christ,

Scott
